Monkey See, Monkey Do

How would you like to hit 3 local hot spots for just $10? Monkey see, monkey do is an event that's happening on July 16th starting at 11am at the John Ball Park Zoo. You can catch some live monkey fun there and then hop on the trolley where you'll head to the Douglas J Salon to get a mini-do and some pampering. Once you're all done up you can hop on the trolley once again and head to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum for some bubble fun and more. Go here for some more details.

FREE Gymboree Class

Blues on the Mall

Trash to Treasure Class

I've been to several of these classes and have led many of them myself and they are a blast if you the creative type. So if you'd like to turn some of your trash into treasure try bringing a plain t-shirt to give it new life. Sorry adults but this one's just for teens. It's taking place at the East Grand Rapids KDL on July 14th at 3pm. And if you can't make it to that one maybe you can catch the same act later that evening at 6:15pm at the Kentwood KDL.

Basket Weaving Workshop

I must admit that I've never done this before because I was usually busy making fun of it. But now that I'm older I'm not sure why I did that. If you'd like to give basket weaving a try there will be a workshop of sorts at the Alpine KDL on July 14th at 1pm. There will be a demonstration and then you can join in and give it a try. This is a FREE event for all ages.

In case you haven't heard...McDonald's is offering FREE iced or hot McCafe Mochas on Mondays through August 3rd! I know that it's at participating restaurants but I believe that I've seen some signs around town advertising this as well. From 7am until 7pm you can get your FREEBIE!
