Special update bonus!
WGVU is sponsoring a dollar day at the John Ball Zoo on August 1st. All day you can enter the zoo for just $1! You must get the coupon in order to cash in on this great deal. Check out your local Wendy's or United bank to get these. I'm pretty sure all locations have them but you can go to WGVU and click on the dollar day link to see the exact locations that are participating.
August kicks off with a bang!

There are two events coming up that are sure to be fun for everyone.
First...
The Michigan Blood Center is throwing a FREE concert to go along with their blood drive on August 5th from 3-8pm at the Grand Valley Blood Center on 1036 Fuller NE in Grand Rapids. The headliner band is Left Hand Daisy. For everyone who tries to donate you'll get a FREE event t-shirt, hot dogs and ice cream. What a great way to give back and still get some FREE goodies.

The Coopersville Summerfest is around the corner. August 4th is start of this week of fun. Here's a taste of some of the events they have going on:
Aug. 6th - Kids day at the museum - $2 - 10am to 4pm
Aug. 6th - Powder Puff Garden Tractor games - 5pm
Aug. 6th - Kids games on main st. - 5-6:30pm
Aug. 7th - Community Garage sales all day!
Aug. 7th - The BEST talent show at the high school - $3 - 7pm
Aug. 8th - Vintage Train ride - $6.50 - 5 to 6pm
Aug. 8th - Del Shanon Memorial Car Cruise - 5:30pm
Aug. 8th - 3D fireworks at the high school football field - 9:30pm
Aug. 9th - Seaville Beach Volleyball tourney - Seaville Swim Club - starts 8am
Aug. 9th - Antique fire truck rides at the fire dept. - 10am to noon
Aug. 9th - Live music from Freedom Band at main st. park - 11am to 3pm
