Even thrift stores have deals!

Some of you may remember a post I had about Salvation Army's Saturday Night Madness sale. Well, I've got another thrift store deal for you. Many people don't know about this great store but it happens to be one of my favorites. Valueland thrift store on 4 mile rd. just off Alpine Ave on the north side of town. It's just past Tequila Willies (I think that's still the name) and right before Plumbs behind the attorney's building.

Every Saturday from 6-8pm any of their 1/2 off color tag clothing is just .79 cents! I was in there the other day and they had a sign up saying that ALL their clothing was 20-50% off because of a winter special also. And during the week they have Senior discount day on Tuesday (10%) and college student day on Wednesday (10%).

I've been shopping at this store since it first opened and I've gotten some amazing bargains there. They have a pretty big space so you're bound to find something. It's bigger than your average Goodwill so plan on spending some time there.

Here's the deal I got - I bought 4 $10 gift certificates and 2 $25 gift certificates. Normally this would cost me $32 but I got it for $9.60 total. Plus! I went through cashbaq.com and will get 25-30% of that back on my cashbaq account. Granted I have to wait until I have reached the minimum amount to get my check but it's still worth it in the end.

FREE coffee and breakfast samples at Panera Bread!

Here's what one of my sources e-mailed me:

And I called the Panera on Alpine and they confirmed that they were participating. Some other sources of mine have said they will also be giving out breakfast samples. So check out your local Panera Bread any time tomorrow.

Free Michaels workshop

Michaels is a great place to let your creative side flourish and their workshops can be fun for the family.

This Saturday they are having a FREE family event where you can make your own handmade valentine's card. It starts at 10am and you should call your local store to make sure and reserve yourself a spot. Their brochures don't always tell you when you'll need to purchase your supplies so ask when you call. This event says it will go until 1pm.

The one I go to is in Walmart on Alpine. If you go inside the grocery entrance (farthest north) you'll see a giant red box vending machine on the left side of the entryway. You don't need to sign up with them or create an account. Anyone can use them. You will need a credit card in order to rent from them, though.

If you would like freebies from them you can go to there website at http://www.redbox.com/home.aspx and near the top of their home page is a small spot that says get a free rental. You can also join their e-mail list and get free rentals every monday. They send me a promo code every week to my cell phone.

For those of you who would like to check it out here's today's code - 57vh9l

You just need to select rent with a promo code at the bottom of the screen and then type in this code. It will only be good Jan. 26th until midnight. You will still have to swipe a credit card in case you don't return it the next day. You can use this code once per credit/debit card. So you can use multiple cards and get multiple rentals.

The catch with red box is that you rent them for $1 a night. So when you get a freebie it needs to be turned in before 9pm the following day in order to not get charged.
