FREE Concert at Jukes

Jukes Bar is located on Leonard street and according to their myspace page they have FREE live music every Friday and Saturday night. This is a 21+ venue so don't bring the kiddies. This Saturday the show starts at 9pm. Both websites offer a list of upcoming events so if you can't make it this weekend maybe you can pencil them in another time.

Hair Happy Hour??

Who ever heard of such a thing as happy hour for hair? Ecouter Salon in downtown GR has this crazy event every Tuesday from 4-8pm. They are saying that you need to bring your own blowdryer and they'll have FREE munchies from local restaurants as well. I'm not sure what all will happen here but it sounds intriguing.

Bollywood / Hollywood Discussion at Library

Have you seen any Bollywood films or heard about them? There's so much talk about them now days. On May 26th from 2-4pm you can learn more about why it's so popular and how it is breaking into the world of cinema in a way that we didn't expect. A professor from GVSU will be talking on the topic and refreshments will be available. This is a FREE event and open to the public.
