Jazz at the Zoo

Grand Rapids is full of FREE concerts and movie nights it seems.  So I'm here to remind you about Monday Jazz nights at the zoo.  This happens from 6-10pm and is completely FREE!  One of these nights I have to make it over there.

Victoria's Secret Sales

I stopped in the mall earlier tonight and noticed that Victoria's Secret has some special sales going on. I was at the Woodland Mall so I'm not sure if it's the same elsewhere. They had a 75% off section in the beauty department. They also had a section of bras on sale for $15 or 16. They still have some underwear on sale and now it's slashed an extra 50% off the sale price. They also have some bras that are 40% off. East Hills Sidewalk Sales

This weekend is the East Hills Sidewalk Sales. You might be able to find some good deals from stores like Global Infusion, Hopscotch Children's Store, David & Bathsheeba and more. This area is located at Cherry and Diamond and Lake. It's that weird little cross section. Downtown Rockford is also having their sidewalk sales through Saturday I believe. It's the weekend for sales.

FREE Inflatables Party

I drove by a church the other day on 3 mile rd. that was advertising a FREE party that was happening on the 18th. What caught my eye was that they advertised that there would be inflatables there. The church is called Anchor Baptist church and it's happening from 1-3pm. They also had cotton candy and popcorn on their sign but I'm not sure if that's FREE also.

Trash to Treasure Class

I've been to several of these classes and have led many of them myself and they are a blast if you the creative type. So if you'd like to turn some of your trash into treasure try bringing a plain t-shirt to give it new life. Sorry adults but this one's just for teens. It's taking place at the East Grand Rapids KDL on July 14th at 3pm. And if you can't make it to that one maybe you can catch the same act later that evening at 6:15pm at the Kentwood KDL.

Basket Weaving Workshop

I must admit that I've never done this before because I was usually busy making fun of it. But now that I'm older I'm not sure why I did that. If you'd like to give basket weaving a try there will be a workshop of sorts at the Alpine KDL on July 14th at 1pm. There will be a demonstration and then you can join in and give it a try.
