Kendall is sponsoring a viewing of a film called The Fall tomorrow night at 7:30pm at the Wealthy Theater. Here's the details:
The Fall was shot piecemeal over the course of four years on locations in 18 countries. Set in the 1920s, director Tarsem Singh's visually lush drama stars Lee Pace as paralyzed movie stuntman Roy Walker, who bonds with an imaginative 5-year-old girl named Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) as they convalesce together in a Los Angeles infirmary. To coax the girl into procuring the cache of morphine he wants from the hospital pharmacy, the suicidal Roy regales Alexandria with an elaborate fantasy story. Alexandra sits enthralled as Roy relates an epic tale of colorful heroes seeking revenge on the nefarious Governor Odious (Daniel Caltagirone). But as the story takes a darker turn, Alexandra begins to realize there is far more at stake than the fate of a handful of imaginary characters. Its up to Roy whether the Black-Bandit and Roy himself will survive the climatic final scene. This movie portrays a visually sumtuous fantasy world of exotic bandits, evil tyrants, dreamlike palaces and breathtaking landscapes.
