Summer Festivals

'Tis the season for festivals and the like. As most of you know I try to focus my posts to things that are happening in Grand Rapids or right on the outskirts. But as I was reminded today from a friendly reader, there's a lot more happening outside of GR. They also reminded me that many people travel farther than 10 minutes to do fun things. And they're absolutely right. I would like to point you all in the right direction for a guide to summer festivals that is more comprehensive than I could ever hope to be. Stop by Schuler's Book store sometime and pick up the local magazine called Revue. They have listings for so many amazing things that are happening in GR and in West Michigan. So for those of you who'd like to check out some events that are farther away be sure you pick up this FREE magazine first. I apologize for not writing about things that are going on in places that aren't so near. Hopefully you'll all understand that as a hobby, not a job, I can only devote so much of my time to this crazy tightwad thing I've got going. I have high hopes that the future could look different.
