Lost Boys Sudanese Dance Festival

This event should be very interesting and unique. It's a fundraiser so there will be a $5 donation asked for at the door. Here's a description from the Wealthy Theatre website... "This event is a fundraiser for Sudanese Grace Church and will consist of a dance performance by Sudanese Lost Boys. They will perform traditional Sudanese dances which they learned in their home country and ones which they often danced while in refugee camps after fleeing their homes.
Two congregations housed in the same building, Grace Episcopal Church and Sudanese Grace Church, are working to reach out to students in southern Sudan. In addition to creating awareness of the dire situation in southern Sudan, Grace Church members are raising funds to purchase educational materials for thousands of students in southern Sudan. Basic school items such as tents to provide shelter for lack of buildings, textbooks, ESL materials and other school supplies are desperately needed by the schools.
Grace Church is also partnering with World Relief in southern Sudan to provide funding for teaching training in several regions of southern Sudan. This is in cooperation with the Episcopal Church of Sudan. All proceeds from this event will go towards this mission."

Kmart Doubling Coupons!!!

I thought you couldn't double coupons in Michigan but slowly I've been finding out about more and more places that are doing it. And this week I found out that Kmart in Grand Rapids is honoring coupons up to $1.99. Which means that you can't use $2 coupons. I wasn't sure if this was true or not so I called the Kmart on Plainfield and spoke to a manager. Here's what he told me:

1. Can not use $2 coupons (but I think their ad said you could)
2. You can only get 25 coupons doubled per customer per day (make several trips)
3. You can only get 4 of the same item using doubled coupons
4. BOGO sales are not included in the coupon doubling.
5. There will be no overages - If your coupons total $3.50 off and it only costs $2 you won't get $1.50 back.

Thanks to
sarah's deals for letting me know we can double as well.
