There is a free summer day camp happening at an Eastown church called Mosaic Life. The camp is called Beyond the Corner. This day camp is for kids going into 1st grade through kids going into 6th grade. So soon-to-be 7th graders are too old. The camp happens Mondays through Fridays from 9am until 1:30pm. They provide free lunch for the kids as well. According to their flier they will have daily activities that will challenge and enrich the kids as well as some unique field trips. Here's a list of the trips they will take:
-Farmer's Market
-Grand Rapids Public Museum
-Meijer Gardens
-The Circle Theatre
-The Zoo
-The IMAX Movie theater
Again...the flier says it's free. The dates for this summer day camp are June 21st through August 13th.
