Is That Special Really Special?

I read an article in Woman's Day about clever tactics retailers use and I wondered what my readers might think. When you're in the grocery store and you see a "special" of 3 for $6 anything do you automatically think you have to buy 3? Apparently the norm is just that. Even if you don't have to buy the 3 items most people will. Not 4 or 2 but exactly 3. I'm all for a special but I'm not up for mind games. If I see a sign that says 3 for $6 I immediately look for the fine print to see if it's required to buy all three IN ORDER to get the deal. If not I will only grab only what I need. What do you think of this tactic? Do you look for the fine print too?
