REALLY REALLY free market

Jen Schaub just passed on this great tidbit through her newsletter called Word on the Street. I haven't been able to go to one of these yet but I'm hoping to get to this one. Here's what it is - At this market you can pick up some things for free and drop some off even. Apparently this has been expanding into music, art and more. You can find people offering free services as well. Now here's the details - It's going to be Sunday from 2-6pm at 2843 Eastern.

Target coupons at the store

According to Deal Seeking Mom, you can print off extra Target manufacturers coupons at the kiosks near the customer service desks. I am assuming they're the ones where the registries are. I haven't tried this myself but I can't wait. Less ink to waste and paper as well.

Here are a list of Target stores around us.

Another Big Lots coupon

Thanks to Stretching a Buck for sharing this with me. Big Lots is offering another 20% off coupon but it's only good for THIS SUNDAY from 5-9pm. I have yet to print mine off so I haven't been able to read that tiny print. But when you click on the website you'll see that it looks like they put it all in bigger letters underneath the coupon. It does say that only original coupons will be accepted. Sometimes that means that you just can't copy them and sometimes it means it has to be the one sent to your e-mail. As always, be prepared, call ahead and let me know how it turns out.

Here's all the Big Lots stores around us.

My new favorite bakery

Van's Pastry Shoppe may be a well known place to some but it was new to me. I've passed it a million times but I'd never stopped in until today. I was shocked to see that nothing on their menu or in the bakery part was over $2.25! And that was for a hamburger I think. I took my godson and we had two HUGE glazed donuts, a brownie and a big M&M chocolate chip cookie for $2 total. My stomach hurt for awhile after from all the sugar. But I must say, it was the best stomach ache I've had in awhile. They have lots of cookies for .10 cents even! If you'd like to try something delicious without spending a ton you've got to check out this little treasure.

Kendall $5 film

Kendall is sponsoring a viewing of a film called The Fall tomorrow night at 7:30pm at the Wealthy Theater. Here's the details:
The Fall was shot piecemeal over the course of four years on locations in 18 countries. Set in the 1920s, director Tarsem Singh's visually lush drama stars Lee Pace as paralyzed movie stuntman Roy Walker, who bonds with an imaginative 5-year-old girl named Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) as they convalesce together in a Los Angeles infirmary. To coax the girl into procuring the cache of morphine he wants from the hospital pharmacy, the suicidal Roy regales Alexandria with an elaborate fantasy story. Alexandra sits enthralled as Roy relates an epic tale of colorful heroes seeking revenge on the nefarious Governor Odious (Daniel Caltagirone). But as the story takes a darker turn, Alexandra begins to realize there is far more at stake than the fate of a handful of imaginary characters. Its up to Roy whether the Black-Bandit and Roy himself will survive the climatic final scene. This movie portrays a visually sumtuous fantasy world of exotic bandits, evil tyrants, dreamlike palaces and breathtaking landscapes.

Location
Wealthy Theatre
1130 Wealthy St SE
Grand Rapids, MI 49506

Phone: 616.459.4788 x1

Now, if you are a Kendall student or alumni there is no charge for you. Not too shabby.

Nothing like a chilly treat on a chilly day.

Can anyone help me???

I would like to add some video to my sidebar without it being annoying. I'd like it to be an optional item to view. Does anyone know how to do this? I am also having a hard time getting it to fit right. If you have any knowledge on how these things work could you send me an e-mail or comment this post. Thanks!

Culvers coupons

I just got an e-mail from Culvers saying that there will be coupons in the GR Press on Wednesday. It says it will include 4 $1 off coupons and 2 B1G1 coupons. So for any Culvers fans you might want to pick up the .75 cent paper on Wednesday or get the coupons from a friend who gets the paper.

75% off at Rite Aid

The last few times I've gone into Rite aid on 4 mile rd just off Alpine I've noticed that they are consistently having 75% off some unusual items. I've gotten mens deodarant for $1 or less, toothpaste and more all 75% off. What I've noticed is that it's mainly the aisles against the walls which include hair and makeup and also shaving, toothpaste and medicines. I've seen some other aisles with a few but those are the main ones. If you have a Rite Aid near you it might be worth checking out. Last week I used one of my coupons from the Sunday paper to get some razors free because they were already 75% off. I couldn't stop smiling!
