FREE Tickets to a Specific Movie
Celebration Cinema North is giving away 100 FREE tickets to see A Walk to Beautiful on May 28th at 7pm. A reader sent me an e-mail informing me of this great deal so today I went over to the theater and asked at the box office. They said they had the tickets and wanted to know how many I wanted! I was shocked! I thought there would be a limit. So I grabbed 4!
This documentary shares the stories of 5 Ethiopian women who had suffered from childbirth injuries. They were rejected by their husbands and communities and decide to take the long journey to a special hospital in hopes of a cure and a new life.
I'm very interested to see this film. And who knows...maybe I'll see you there! Thanks Gnome!

Summer Camps for Kids
This would be a load of work to put together so I'm just going to send you over to a site I really like called Big Binder. She offers a great list of camps in our area that you can check out for your kids. I'm a little late on getting this post out so it might be too late for some of them. But it never hurts to try. She's got a variety of camps from the Kent County Humane Society to the UICA camps. The prices seem to vary as well. So enjoy and be sure to thank her for all the hard work.

Rumors of Cheap Flip Flops???
Lots of rumors of cheap goods (you'll read about another one in the next post). It's been said that Old Navy will be selling their flip flops for $1 on Saturday, May 23rd. I'm not sure if this is true for our store or not. But if you'll be in the mall anyways it wouldn't hurt to check it out.
Super Cheap Donuts???
I've heard rumors that Krispy Kreme is offering a dozen donuts for .99 cents on May 23rd. It's limited to 1 per person. It's pretty late and our local store isn't open so I'd call before heading over just to make sure.

Love's Treasures is a local resale shoppe in Hudsonville. All this week you can shop their Outback store and get 50% off anything you find. They are celebrating their 5th anniversary so they will also have several drawings you can register for. I think there might be a few other surprises as well but their flier was a little cryptic. Dance Club for Kids
Who would have thought that it would be a good idea to give little kids a chance to shake their groove thing? Apparently it was the Wyoming branch of KDL. This particular library has several cool events happening on May 21st and this is just one of them. (You can read about the other ones in the next couple of posts.) It starts at 10:30am on Thursday and goes for an hour and a half. Kids ages 6 & under are invited to come and rock out to kid-friendly music. This is completely FREE and should be entertaining to watch a group of little ones at their first "club" experience.

Caffeine Cinema for Teens
The Wyoming branch of KDL has another Caffeine Cinema for teens on Thursday, May 21st at 3:30pm. This is just for teens 13 and older. They have Freedom Writers scheduled to be the movie they'll show but according to the lady I talked to that movie keeps getting postponed if the kids that show up don't want to watch it. So who knows what will really get played. But it's FREE and nice for teens to get out.

FREE Victoria's Secret Pink Nation Panty
This is a nice little deal. Go here to either sign in to your Pink Nation account or sign up for one and you can get your coupon for a FREE Pink Nation Panty when you purchase ANY Pink product. Last time I did this I got a cheepie Pink Nation item on clearance and got my FREE panty. Should work again this time. And if you're heading out to the mall to get this hot little item you might want to go to the Rivertown mall to maximize your FREEBIE shopping. You can go to Victoria's Secret for the panty, then head to Aerie to sign up to be on their a-list and get a FREE workout towel this month and then go over to Macy's Origins booth to get your FREE mini-facial and sample. I don't live near that mall so I definitely need to maximize if I'm going to spend the gas to get there. You should enjoy walking out of the mall with cute bags in your hand and your money still safely in your wallet.
FREE Mini Facial and Sample of Product
Origins is offering a FREE Mini-facial at their stores. I'm not sure if this will include their desks in stores like Macy's or not. I know they usually offer those kinds of services. I would recommend calling ahead. With the Origins "stores" we have around here you will definitely want to call and set up an appointment anyways. You should be able to get your FREE facial and get a FREE sample of one of their products. They might just let you pick your sample. You can check out their corporate promo here for more information. Our "stores" are located in the major department store and mostly in the Rivertown Mall. I always go to the one in Macy's. This promo only runs through May 31st so don't wait too long.

Ride of Silence
Back in 2003 a cyclist was hit by a bus. His friends decided to set up a memorial ride to raise awareness of cyclist and motorist safety. The ride of silence is a 12 mile bike ride that honors those who have been injured or killed. This year the ride will take place on May 20th at 7pm at Riverside park. They will meet at the island shelter entrance. This is a FREE ride and black and red armbands will be provided. A helmet is required to participate. You can get more information about this national event here.
It's Barbeque Time at the Library!
The Grandville branch of KDL is having a special party tomorrow, May 20th. They have a tradition of marking Michigan Week at the library by hosting a party. You can stop by their outdoor amphitheater at 5pm to catch some food and music by the middle school students at Grandville. Summer is coming so let's get ready!

This is the week of the drink. From what I've seen at several locations and heard from readers is that you do not need a coupon for this promotion. So stop by and enjoy!
