Revue magazine had their Cheap Issue out this month and I actually found some things worth sharing from it. The first thing that caught my eye was their cheap comedy section. Apparently for $5 you can get 3 hours of comedy at Dog Story Theatre. The last hour of the night is an open-improv jam. If you show up at 10pm you can get in for free.
You can also catch a $5 show at Dr. Grin's Comedy Club at The B.O.B. on Thursday nights. They are also having a contest called Funniest Person in Grand Rapids and you can check it out on Wednesday nights at 9pm.
A reader had mentioned this to me awhile ago and I forgot to post about it. The Landing Lounge located at the Ann Street Radisson has a free comedy night on Sundays. Their show starts at 8:30pm. There is no cover charge but rather it is required that you purchase a drink.
So there you have it. A short list of of hopefully some good comedy. I have yet to try it but I've always wanted to. Let me know if you do.
